Q - Can I visit where my dog will be staying?
A - Yes, In fact we insist on it. We don’t take any bookings before we’ve met your dog and both parties are confident it’s the right environment for them.
Q - Do you take un-neutered/spayed dogs?
A - Yes, we take intact females, however we do not take un-neutered dogs over the age of 12 months.
Q - Are you insured?
A - Yes, we’re insured by Pet Plan Sanctuary.
Q - Are you licensed?
A - Yes, we’re fully licensed by Durham County Council - license no LC202603-91250.
Q - What makes you different?
A - At Wild at Heart we don’t believe your dog should be confined to a kennel all day, your dog has access to secure fields and activity areas all supervised and will have a minimum off 90 minutes of exercise as well as socialising with other guests in our day care area.
Q - How often do they get walked?
A - Each dog get’s a minimum of 2 walks per day up to maximum of 3 hours, this is dependent on each individual dogs needs and time of arrival.
Q - Does my dog have to be vaccinated?
A - Yes, all dogs must have their DHP, Leptospirosis (L4) & Kennel Cough vaccinations, we advise Canine Parainfluenza Virus (CPIV).
Q - Can you board puppies?
A - Yes, we’re happy to take puppies, they must be fully vaccinated and depending on their needs there may be additional fees.
Q - Do I need to provide food for my dog?
A - All stays include our proprietary cold pressed food as standard, if your dog is a fussy eater or on a specific diet we encourage you to bring enough to last their stay.
Q - Is there anything else I need to provide with my dog?
A - If this is the first time your dog is staying with us, we’d suggest bringing their bed or blanket to help them settle.
Q - Will my dog be staying with other dogs?
A - Yes, we have up to 6 guests staying with us at anyone time.
Q - I don’t have a car, are you able to provide transport?
A - Yes, we can collect & drop off your dog for an extra charge.
Q - Do you take any payment before meeting?
A - No, if any boarder ask’s you to pay a deposit before hand please be aware that this could be a scam.
Only once we’ve met and you’re happy with where your dog will be staying do we then take a deposit, it’s 50% of the total booking fee with the rest payable 14 days before drop off.
